Ron and two accomplices Patrick and the Kyle successfully pulled off a $20 million heist, stealing the Barkley Diamonds from the San Francisco Museum of Art. Patrick and Kyle, in hiding from the police, are still desperate for their share of the jewels. With Ron dead, they figure the only way to get their cut is for one of them to get close to his wife, who must know where they are hidden. Assuming the name Jeff, Patrick begins snaking his way into Susan's life.
