Bomanbridge Media, Singapore’s leading independent content distribution and production company, starts ATF with a strong slate of lifestyle and scripted sales to Netflix Asia, BBC Asia, SBS Australia and Mediawan France.
Following the pick-up by Netflix Southeast Asia, new food docseries Chefs Uncut (6 x 30), from Singapore’s Creators Lab, has been additionally acquired by PCCW in Hong Kong, SBS Australia and Mediawan in France. This beautifully shot series looks at what it takes to cut it in one of the most demanding industries and features six successful young Asian chefs: Bjorn Shen, Janice Wong and Michelin-starred LG Han from Singapore, Philippines’ Jordy Navarra and from Thailand the Michelin-awarded Chefs Pam and Ton. Season 1 has just been delivered and premieres on Netflix Southeast Asia on Q1 2024, with Season 2 currently under development.
Netflix Southeast Asia has also picked up two Thai remakes of Korean originals: time-travelling crime thriller 23:23 (16 x 60) and My Sassy Girl (also 16 x 60), from the Thai True Digital Group and True Visions Group.
Elsewhere , BBC Studios Asia acquired Billionaire Resorts (6 x 60, Rumpus Media for Channel Five), which looks inside some of world’s luxurious holiday resorts, while Mongolia’s Mongol HD inked a 160+ hour drama package with TV Prisoner No 1 (64 x 60), The Baker and The Beauty (26 x 60), The Brave (13 x 60), Deep Crime Unit (D.C.U) (10 x 60), Blue Moon (30 x 60’) and The A Word (18 x 60 - the UK adaptation of Israeli series Yellow Peppers), through Bomanbridge’s collaboration with Keshet International.
