Bomanbridge’s scripted content continues to be in demand throughout the region. Black Out: Snow White Must Die (14x60’), based on the international bestseller by Nele Neuhaus, recently launched on Hulu in Japan/ US as well as MBC Korea, to huge acclaim. Produced by Jaemoon Lee, a renowned figure in the Korean thriller genre, who has produced other successes such as Save Me and Signal, the drama has gained significant attention. This month Bomanbridge concluded additional sales agreements for the drama with Truevisions (Thailand), Galaxy (Vietnam), VieOn (Vietnam) and Vidio (Indonesia).
In a further deal, English language period crime Drama, Vienna Blood (S1-S4 22x60’) has sold to BBC Studios Asia. This deal comes as a result of Bomanbridge’s collaboration on Seven.One Studios International catalogue for Asia.
Factual sales of over 300 hours were closed from Bomanbridge’s library, including a pan-regional package with Warner Bros. Discovery Asia for 25 hours with titles such as: Kuri Buri – Thailand’s Hidden Eden (1x60’), and Beyond Seoul: The Natural Wonders of South Korea (2x60’).
A further 20 hr package for factual content has been agreed directly with CMG China offering the multi award-winning, The Raptors (2x60’), Great Lakes Untamed (3x60’) and Valley of the Bears (1x60’). PTS (Taiwan) licensed 20 hours including A Cheetah’s Pride (3x60') and Soul of the Ocean (1x60’).
KBS (Korea) has picked up 20 hours of natural history programming titles, including: The Wild Sides (3x60’), Golden Eagle – Call of the Wild (2x60’) and Cecil the Lion King (1x60’).
In Southeast Asia, Thai PBS snapped up 80 hours of wildlife titles such as the multi award-winning Special, Patrick and the Whale (1x60’), Unknown Belize (3x60’) and The Search for The Last Great Tusker (1x60’). In Hong Kong, RTHK acquired 10 hrs of sustainable themes inclusive of The Paradox of Salt – Blessing or Curse? (1x60) and Mission Saving Paradise: Expedition to the Last Treasures of the Indian Ocean (2x60’); TVB took 52 hours including, All the Answers (26x30’) and Animal DNA (26x30’), which was equally sold to GMA in the Philippines.
