An exploration of Jamaican life, full of lessons about colonialism, breathtaking natural beauty and the cultural legacy of a proud nation.
Many clichés surround the Caribbean state of Jamaica. In order to understand what the life on this island is all about, filmmaker Samuel Häde embarks on a journey outside of his comfort zone. In three months, he wants to circumnavigate the island and does not shy away from any new encounters. Whether on forays through the rainforest with an old-school Rastafarian or driving through the jungle on a motorbike, Samuel's western way of thinking is increasingly put to the test on this journey.
