Full title: Mission Saving Paradise - Expedition to the Last Treasure of the Indian Ocean
The Argulhas II, a stately research vessel, sets its sail on a hot October day in 2022, under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco.
On board are scientists, students, divers, photographers and artists from all over the world. Their mission is to collect data, study the state of coral reefs and the damage from global warming and microplastics, and to record the biodiversity of the remote islands, sandbars and seagrass beds. Everyone on board shares a common and ambitious goal: to “take the pulse of the sea” and preserve the unique flora and fauna of the Indian Ocean for generations to come.
