What happens when the God of Death marries a mortal from Earth? ALL NARK BREAKS LOOSE Yamraj may be feared by all on Earth as the God of Death, but in the Celestine world, Yamraj has to deal with the same mundane issues as the Aam Aadmi.

Yamraj has fallen in love with a human, Jigna and has married her. In the process, he has acquired an obnoxious, teenaged brother-in-law, Himesh. Jigna and Himesh find out that life in Yamlok isn't so different from life back on earth and that Yam, despite being a god, is just doing his job the best he can while he struggles to make ends meet.

Constantly trying to juggle work and family life, Yam has a lot on his plate. A nagging wife, a troublesome brother-in-law, a disgruntled assistant, jealous neighbors, grumpy in-laws, an over-bearing boss and many other ordinary problems make up the daily life of this extraordinary family. In addition, Yams boss, Aakashvani, isn't the benign and forgiving maker you would imagine. He is thoroughly corporate, penny-pinching and hard-as-nails. A misfit, a God, a husband, and a breadwinner, this man is the Aam Aadmi with a fancy job title. He tries his best to give his family what they need but manages to make a mess of everything in the bargain. Loveable and goofy, this God of Death is anything but grim.
