A Wish Come True

Ever since Lindsay Carmichael was a little girl she’s been making wishes on her birthday cake. But when she blows out the candles on her 30th birthday cake, an unexplainable phenomenon happens. She wakes up the next day 5 lbs. lighter (on her last birthday she had wished to lose weight) and a puppy waits in a basket on her doorstep – a wish she made when she was 3 years old. When she arrives at work she’s promoted. Soon after, rock concert tickets arrive (a wish from 15 years ago) and Billy Madox, her crush in grade 8, shows up offering his love.

Then she wins the lottery along with a load of money, a big car and a huge new house. What’s more, her parents, separated years before, get back together. Her wish, to meet Mr. Right, is also about to unfold. She does not realize that her best friend Dave (who is secretly in love with her) has been there all along.

When she gets another promotion she is forced to sell out her ideals for corporate profits as well as the solar power project Dave has spent months developing. Only at the last minute does she realize her mistake, resigns her job and returns to Dave, appreciating that he is the man of her dreams.
