A Beautiful Place To Die: A Martha's Vineyard Mystery

After Boston Detective Jeff Jackson takes a bullet in the line of duty, he is forced into retirement and ends up in Martha’s Vineyard, repairing his father's old boat and seaside cabin where he used to spend summers as a kid. Though he is trying to keep a low profile, it’s not long before he runs into an old flame, Dr. Zee Madieras, who runs the local hospital.

When Jeff discovers the body of a young man named Ray, washed up near the docks, Chief Madieras enlists them both to solve the murder quickly, before tourist season kicks off.

As they investigate, they discover that Ray had conned his way into the local Martha’s Vineyard Charity Gala to meet with some of the most monied residents of the Vineyard. They also learn that the victim may not be who he said he is - or even who he thinks he is - and someone is willing to kill to keep that information secret. As Jeff and Zee uncover Ray’s motives for coming to the island, they close in on the killer.
