A young Amish woman, Hannah, becomes the live-in caretaker to the ailing wife of a charismatic Amish elder, Aaron. While tending to her duties, she becomes entangled in a forbidden and dangerous love affair with the husband.
Desperate to be with her, the husband poisons his ailing wife so he can publicly court and marry his secret lover. When the wife dies, authorities begin to suspect foul play and accuse the young woman of murder. Fighting for her freedom, the young woman must prove her innocence...even at the expense of her lover... before she is wrongfully convicted or killed for trying to expose the truth.
