The 11th Body

When an extra, eleventh body turns up in the anatomy lab of Haifa's Technion Medical Department, lead detective Iris Abramov is sent to investigate. Juggling a messy divorce and her aging father's resistance to remaining in assisted living, Iris throws herself into the case, despite her partner insisting it's just a logistical error.

Her investigation leads her to identify a second extra cadaver and a missing medical student, who's linked to the Bruchian crime family. Iris believes the extra corpses are connected to the Bruchians' bloody turf war with their rivals, the Hijazi family. Suspecting one corpse belongs to a murdered Hijazi, Iris tracks down the missing student and uncovers his plan to "launder" the bodies in the lab before disappearing.

What begins as a routine investigation morphs into a complex web of greed, gentrification, and racial tensions that threatens to unsettle the entire city of Haifa.
