Bomanbridge Media Announces Format Renewal Deal with Zee Tamil

Singapore December 3, 2015:  Bomanbridge Media, a Singapore-based content distribution and production agency announced a renewal deal with Zee Tamil for the second season of the popular format DNA.

This is the second time Zee Tamil bought the Format and they will produce another 26 episodes of the show in Tamil. Zee Tamil is a regional general entertainment channel, based out of Chennai in South India. It is owned by the ZEE Group, one of the largest Television Networks in India; and it will be produced in the Tamil language.

DNA Synopsis

“Genetics has never been so much fun” D.N.A. is a family contest, for families.  Certainly, nobody can help making comparisons between a father and a son. They say “he’s got his father’s eyes” or “he’s the spitting image of his mother. There are proverbs in every country about this family resemblance – for example “like father, like son”.

This simple and fun game show divides 10 fathers/mothers on one side and 10 sons/daughters on the other side of the studio.  The CONTESTANT stands in the middle and has to play the game of matching the parents and children together. Every day, a handsome prize is awarded to the person who manages to identify all the pairs.

One of the key aspects of this contest is its capacity of playfulness: every viewer at home can get involved from the very beginning and take part in the show at any given moment. No special knowledge is required, just instinct…or luck.

Through various challenges offered in this format, the contestant goes through three rounds to try and decide who is family…

The D.N.A. game show is flexible – it can easily be adapted to various time segments, including prime time; an episode can run for 30 to 50 minutes.  This show has been produced in Spain, Italy, India and Indonesia.  D.N.A is currently one of the top rated game shows on ETV in India, running against Master Chef.  Indonesia’s version was also a hit, creating “Celebrity DNA” to include celebrities and their families.
